Overview

The Program Engineer is a rotational role with the goal of obtaining a foundation in FORCE America’s products, applications, customers, work relationships and company values, in preparation for a customer facing career path within FORCE America.  This positon, located in our Columbus, Ohio location will experience many different facets of the FORCE America business while growing into a Sales role. 

Responsibilities

  • Valve IHC (Integrated Hydraulic Circuit) - develop knowledge of the applications and value of IHC solutions within the industry and the services FORCE America provides through product knowledge and application, design and testing capabilities, quality control and inventory management. Learning is accomplished through successful performance of manufacturing and engineering duties, which includes, but is not limited to product assembly, product design, product testing, pricing analysis, vendor relations and inventory management.
  • Inside sales – gains understanding of customers, products, and sales support roles through training in, and performance of inside sales role.
  • Design Engineering – gains understanding of design engineering function through training and performance of assigned design engineering tasks.
  • Manufacturing – gains understanding of manufacturing processes through performance and observation of assigned manufacturing duties.
  • Sales – gains understanding of customer, products, and sales process through observation and performance of assigned sales duties
  • Teamwork and Values – creates productive work relationships and demonstrates FORCE America values when interacting with FORCE America associates in all departments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Distribution, or related business field.
  • 1 year of work experience, internship experience in related role, preferred.
  • Strong customer facing communication skills.
  • Strong mechanical abilities.
